About Us

A Developing Nonprofit Built Around Access, Dignity, and Opportunity

The Royal Treatment Foundation is a nonprofit initiative based in Western New York, NY, working to make therapeutic wellness services more accessible and to create opportunities for future healthcare and wellness professionals.

Our Story

How the Foundation Began

The Royal Treatment Foundation grew out of everyday moments in a massage therapy practice. Working one-on-one with clients, founder Amanda Birmingham saw how often cost decided whether someone continued care that was helping them — and how often people quietly stopped coming because the expense was simply out of reach.

Those conversations pointed to a larger pattern. Wellness services are frequently treated as a luxury rather than part of how people care for their health, and the people most affected by that gap are often the ones carrying the heaviest physical and emotional load: caregivers, people recovering from injury, service workers, and families managing tight budgets.

Rather than accept that limit, Amanda began building an organization designed to work at a community level. The Foundation was established as a nonprofit initiative so that donations, sponsorships, and partnerships could be pooled and directed toward helping eligible individuals access approved therapeutic wellness services.

A second purpose emerged alongside the first. The wellness field itself needs practitioners, and training can be expensive for the very people who would bring the most understanding to the work. The Foundation intends to develop scholarship opportunities so that financial hardship is less likely to close off a healthcare or wellness career.

We are early in that journey. Our programs are in development, our infrastructure is being built, and our community support is growing. We share our progress openly and describe our work in terms of what we are building rather than claims we cannot yet verify.

Our Mission

Reducing barriers to wellness

The Royal Treatment Foundation is dedicated to reducing financial barriers to therapeutic wellness services and creating opportunities for individuals pursuing careers in healthcare and wellness.

We believe that access to supportive wellness services should not be determined solely by a person’s ability to pay. Through financial assistance, community education, partnerships, and future scholarship opportunities, we seek to help individuals access care, build confidence, and create healthier communities.

Our Vision

A community without wellness barriers

A community where financial hardship does not prevent individuals from accessing supportive wellness services and pursuing opportunities in healthcare and wellness.

We picture a Western New York where a person can find help without shame, where local organizations share wellness resources freely, and where students entering healthcare and wellness careers have support behind them.

Our Values

What Guides Our Work

These six values shape how we design programs, speak about our work, and treat the people who come to us.

Compassion

We meet every person with kindness and respect, recognizing that asking for help takes courage.

Accessibility

We work to remove financial and practical barriers that keep people from supportive wellness services.

Dignity

Every person deserves care that honors their privacy, their story, and their choices.

Integrity

We communicate honestly about what our programs are, what they are not, and where we are in our development.

Community

We believe healthier neighborhoods are built together, through shared knowledge and shared resources.

Opportunity

We seek to open doors for people pursuing careers in healthcare and wellness.
